CHURCH IMPROVEMENTS: The Trustees have been undertaking a number of church projects: ceiling repairs in the fellowship hall, soffit repairs and church painting outside, awning installation over basement door, installation of additional railing at back exit door, and clearing weeds and excess growth. We especially thank Mother Rogers, Bro. Wayne Webb, and Bro. Charlie Jackson for voluntarily clearing our landscape. Various trustees have recommended different companies that have performed work at their residences to submit bids for our church projects. Because of their prior work for these trustees and their own religious involvement, they submit very competitive bids. Parking lot repairs have been concluded and pictures are in the Gallery courtesy of Sis. Mary Webb. Trustees are as follows: Anita Lenoir, Chairperson; Charlie Jackson, Treasurer; Brenda Shivers, Financial Secretary; and Judy Massenburg, new recruit.
TO THE MT. OLIVE MEMBERSHIP
Our Trustee Board is at a critical point trying to fulfill all of our responsibilities. Judy Massenburg who was confirmed by the church membership Sunday, March 1, joined the Trustee Board this year raising the membership to four. The Board continues to solicit members who desire to join them OR, alternatively, are willing to voluntarily assist as needed. The focus of those who volunteer will be to help complete current and/or future projects, which address the physical upkeep of the Church.
If you are interested in either becoming a Board Member or Volunteer, please communicate your interest by contacting any of the present Trustee Board members who are Charlie Jackson, Anita Lenoir, Judy Massenburg and Brenda Shivers. Thank you.
"CASUAL DRESS SUNDAYS"
In keeping with the times, Pastor Arnick is designating 4th Sundays as "Casual Dress Sundays". Feel free to dress in your casual attire. This may or may not include gear from your favorite pro, college, or high school team.
Monthly Mission Meeting is second Tuesday in each month at 6:30 p.m. via ZOOM. New books are located in the sanctuary.
Weekly bible study: Weekly bible study resumed Wednesday, September 16 at 7 p.m. via ZOOM. Topic: Galatians Set Free which is a 12-week interactive journey through Paul's letter to the Galatians. Meeting ID and passcode are in the book, which is available from the Pastor.
